- Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign Lord.’
- Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious,
but fools are consumed by their own lips. - Sin is not ended by multiplying words,
but the prudent hold their tongues. - “No weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is their vindication from me,”
declares the Lord. - This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’
So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.Next verse!With image
