Bible Verses about 'Spoke'

  • For no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
  • Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
  • But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought that it was a ghost, and they cried out; for they all saw Him and were terrified. But immediately He spoke with them and said to them, “Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid.”
  • You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
  • When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.
  • And if you say in your heart, ‘How will we recognize the word which the Lord has not spoken?’ When the prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, and the thing does not happen or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you are not to be afraid of him.
  • And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.
  • So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
  • He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.
  • Now behold, today I am going the way of all the earth, and you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one word of all the good words which the Lord your God spoke concerning you has failed; they all have been fulfilled for you, not one of them has failed.
  • These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.
  • I cried to Him with my mouth,
    And He was exalted with my tongue.
  • God is not a man, that He would lie,
    Nor a son of man, that He would change His mind;
    Has He said, and will He not do it?
    Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
  • Now all this took place so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled: “Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall name Him Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”
  • By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
    And by the breath of His mouth all their lights.
  • Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
  • These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.
  • If, because of the Sabbath, you restrain your foot
    From doing as you wish on My holy day,
    And call the Sabbath a pleasure, and the holy day of the Lord honorable,
    And honor it, desisting from your own ways,
    From seeking your own pleasure
    And speaking your own word,
    Then you will take delight in the Lord,
    And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth;
    And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father,
    For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
  • For nothing will be impossible with God.
  • While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!”
  • A person has joy in an apt answer,
    And how delightful is a timely word!
  • Seek good and not evil, so that you may live;
    And so may the Lord God of armies be with you,
    Just as you have said!
  • And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.
  • And the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.”
  • “Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed,” ’ ” declares the Lord God.

Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.
