Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
When anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned.When he realizes his guilt in any of these and confesses the sin he has committed, he shall bring to the Lord as his compensation for the sin that he has committed.

And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.
When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!
I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, ‘Here am I, here am I.’I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.”And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”

For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
