Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.
Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to dishonest gain.

He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”But He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”
I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches.
But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people, knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good.For the customs of the peoples are futile; For it is wood cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. They decorate the idol with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not totter.
