| By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit. | And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. |

You may not, however, eat marine animals that do not have both fins and scales. They are ceremonially unclean for you. |
| But I tell you that for every careless word that people speak, they will give an account of it on the day of judgment. | And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. |
| Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. | Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. |
| And like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation. | Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment. |
