If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. | Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. |
This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. | By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. |
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. | By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. |

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. | By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. |
