| O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you. | Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you. |
| The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds. | For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. |
| If your brother should sin, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day, and comes back to you seven times to say, ‘I am sorry,’ you must forgive him. | If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him. |
| The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. | He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? |
| May he give you your heart’s desire and grant you success in all your plans. | May he grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your counsel. |
| Because in my eyes you are precious, because you are honored and I love you, I will give people in exchange for you and nations in return for your life. | Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you, therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life. |
| Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.” | Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.” |
| Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself; thus my lips will speak your praise. I will bless you all my life; with uplifted hands I will call on your name. | Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you. So I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name. |
| Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. For your faith grows ever more, and the love that all of you have for one another continues to increase. | We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds. |
| How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people. | Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men! |

| I have given you a command. Be strong and brave, do not be afraid nor dismayed. I, the Lord, your God, will be with you wherever you go. | Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go. |
| Remember that you were once a slave in the land of Egypt. The Lord, your God, brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore, the Lord, your God, has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day. | You shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and Yahweh your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore Yahweh your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day. |
| Arise and shine forth, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has dawned upon you. | Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you! |
| I will extol you, my God and King; I will bless your name forever and ever. | I will exalt you, my God, the King. I will praise your name forever and ever. |
| Thereupon the Lord restored the prosperity of Job after he had prayed for his friends, and he enriched him with twice as much as he had possessed before. | Yahweh restored Job’s prosperity when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before. |
| I will, thereby, display my greatness and my holiness and make myself known to many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord. | I will magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh. |
| Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of justice, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. | Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. |
| O Lord, grant us salvation. O Lord, grant us success. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless you from the house of the Lord. | Save us now, we beg you, Yahweh! Yahweh, we beg you, send prosperity now. Blessed is he who comes in Yahweh’s name! We have blessed you out of Yahweh’s house. |
| As a deer longs for running streams, so my soul longs for you, O God. | As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, God. |
| He will not permit your foot to stumble; he who guards you will not fall asleep. | He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. |
| But who am I, and what are your people, that we should be able to do this? All things belong to you, and everything that we have given you is from your hand. | But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and we have given you of your own. |
| Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze on what lies before you. | Let your eyes look straight ahead. Fix your gaze directly before you. |
| Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you what your heart desires. | Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. |
