Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.

Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God.Every man also to whom God has given riches and wealth, and has given him power to eat of it, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.

If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.
When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.Let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position; and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.
Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.A fool has no delight in understanding, but only in revealing his own opinion.
So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made: all their army by the breath of his mouth.
Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.Children’s children are the crown of old men; the glory of children is their parents.
For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.”For, “He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.”
The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale.The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, like an unscalable wall in his own imagination.

But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.Yahweh’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth.
