With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. | The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. |

For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it. | For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. |
Fools show their anger at once, but the prudent ignore an insult. | A fool’s wrath is known at once, But a prudent man covers shame. |
Happy are those who keep his decrees, who seek him with their whole heart. | Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! |
For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life? | For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? |
