Their (4/4)

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God, and not rather that they should turn from their ways and live?
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them.
Who will render to every man according to his deeds. For he will repay according to each one's deeds.
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.
A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it.
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.
He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die. Those who keep the commandment will live; those who are heedless of their ways will die.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.Even fools who keep silent are considered wise; when they close their lips, they are deemed intelligent.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; do not fret over those who prosper in their way, over those who carry out evil devices.
A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.A fool gives full vent to anger, but the wise quietly holds it back.
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.Fools show their anger at once, but the prudent ignore an insult.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added.
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked shall continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.
And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses. And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?
I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.I know that there is nothing better for them than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live; moreover, it is God's gift that all should eat and drink and take pleasure in all their toil.
Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.Likewise all to whom God gives wealth and possessions and whom he enables to enjoy them, and to accept their lot and find enjoyment in their toil—this is the gift of God.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace— in peace because they trust in you.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing personal opinion.
The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.Words spoken by the wise bring them favor, but the lips of fools consume them.
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common.
