He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.
Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.
God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous.The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly.
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight.The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much!
As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so.Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.
And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.
The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.
The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”

Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
