- Yahweh will command his loving kindness in the daytime.
In the night his song shall be with me:
a prayer to the God of my life. - No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.
- Let all that you do be done in love.
- A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.
- “For the mountains may depart,
and the hills be removed,
but my loving kindness will not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace will not be removed,”
says Yahweh who has mercy on you. - Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
- If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
- And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.
- Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever. - Because your loving kindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise you.
So I will bless you while I live.
I will lift up my hands in your name. - Know therefore that Yahweh your God himself is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness to a thousand generations with those who love him and keep his commandments.
- Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness,
for they are from old times.
Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions.
Remember me according to your loving kindness,
for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh. - If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
- Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all wrongs. - But I will sing of your strength.
Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning.
For you have been my high tower,
a refuge in the day of my distress. - Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.
- Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.
- A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
- Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil.
- Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.
- The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
- Those who love your law have great peace.
Nothing causes them to stumble. - This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
- Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
