Bible Verses about 'Wealth&p=2'

Wealth is a ransom for a person's life, but the poor get no threats. The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, But the poor does not hear rebuke.
House and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord.
The wealth of the rich is their strong city; in their imagination it is like a high wall. The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem.
Wealth hastily gotten will dwindle, but those who gather little by little will increase it.Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, But he who gathers by labor will increase.
The lover of money will not be satisfied with money; nor the lover of wealth, with gain. This also is vanity. He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; Nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity.
As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing. Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Likewise all to whom God gives wealth and possessions and whom he enables to enjoy them, and to accept their lot and find enjoyment in their toil—this is the gift of God.As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.
