Bible Verses about 'Wealth'

The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.
Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God.
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord.Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.
Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.
Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.
He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.The rich can pay a ransom for their lives, but the poor won’t even get threatened.
By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.
Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit.
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.Better to have little, with fear for the Lord, than to have great treasure and inner turmoil.
Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.
The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up.
But godliness with contentment is great gain.Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.Tainted wealth has no lasting value, but right living can save your life.
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich. For the strength of the wicked will be shattered, but the Lord takes care of the godly.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death.
Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle.
When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers!
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
