Bible Verses about 'Wealth'

The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, like an unscalable wall in his own imagination. The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.
Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow.Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.
Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
Every man also to whom God has given riches and wealth, and has given him power to eat of it, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God.
The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh is wealth, honor, and life.True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.
House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh.Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.
Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase.Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.
He who loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver, nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity. Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!
The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, but the poor hear no threats. The rich can pay a ransom for their lives, but the poor won’t even get threatened.
Don’t weary yourself to be rich. In your wisdom, show restraint.Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit.
Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh, than great treasure with trouble.Better to have little, with fear for the Lord, than to have great treasure and inner turmoil.
Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all! In your hand is power and might! It is in your hand to make great, and to give strength to all!Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.
What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.
Yahweh makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up.The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up.
But godliness with contentment is great gain.Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.Tainted wealth has no lasting value, but right living can save your life.
Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Yahweh upholds the righteous. It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich. For the strength of the wicked will be shattered, but the Lord takes care of the godly.
Riches don’t profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death.
Why do you set your eyes on that which is not? For it certainly sprouts wings like an eagle and flies in the sky.In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle.
When goods increase, those who eat them are increased; and what advantage is there to its owner, except to feast on them with his eyes? The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers!
No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon. No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
Charge those who are rich in this present age that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.
