Bible Verses about 'Wealth'
- A rich man's wealth is his strong city,
and like a high wall in his imagination. - Wealth gained hastily will dwindle,
but whoever gathers little by little will increase it. - House and wealth are inherited from fathers,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord. - Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce. - Do not toil to acquire wealth;
be discerning enough to desist. - The ransom of a man's life is his wealth,
but a poor man hears no threat. - Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
- He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity.
- The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - The reward for humility and fear of the Lord
is riches and honor and life. - As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.
- Better is a little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble with it. - Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.
- When your eyes light on it, it is gone,
for suddenly it sprouts wings,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low and he exalts. - But godliness with contentment is great gain.
- Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
- Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Better is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. - No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
- Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold. - When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes?
- To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
- That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ.
