Bible Verses about 'Wealth'
- The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
like an unscalable wall in his own imagination. - Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away,
but he who gathers by hand makes it grow. - Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth,
and he adds no trouble to it. - Every man also to whom God has given riches and wealth, and has given him power to eat of it, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.
- House and riches are an inheritance from fathers,
but a prudent wife is from Yahweh. - Honor Yahweh with your substance,
with the first fruits of all your increase. - The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh
is wealth, honor, and life. - He who loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver, nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity.
- Don’t weary yourself to be rich.
In your wisdom, show restraint. - The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
but the poor hear no threats. - What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
- Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh,
than great treasure with trouble. - Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all! In your hand is power and might! It is in your hand to make great, and to give strength to all!
- Why do you set your eyes on that which is not?
For it certainly sprouts wings like an eagle and flies in the sky. - Yahweh makes poor and makes rich.
He brings low, he also lifts up. - But godliness with contentment is great gain.
- Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
- Treasures of wickedness profit nothing,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Better is a little that the righteous has,
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but Yahweh upholds the righteous. - No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.
- Riches don’t profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - A good name is more desirable than great riches,
and loving favor is better than silver and gold. - When goods increase, those who eat them are increased; and what advantage is there to its owner, except to feast on them with his eyes?
- To whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- Charge those who are rich in this present age that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
- That their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.
