Bible Verses about 'Wealth'
- The wealth of the rich is their strong city;
in their imagination it is like a high wall. - Wealth hastily gotten will dwindle,
but those who gather little by little will increase it. - House and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord. - Wealth is a ransom for a person's life,
but the poor get no threats. - Likewise all to whom God gives wealth and possessions and whom he enables to enjoy them, and to accept their lot and find enjoyment in their toil—this is the gift of God.
- The lover of money will not be satisfied with money; nor the lover of wealth, with gain. This also is vanity.
- Honor the Lord with your substance
and with the first fruits of all your produce. - Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
be wise enough to desist. - The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing.
- No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
- The reward for humility and fear of the Lord
is riches and honor and life. - Better is a little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble with it. - Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might; and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.
- When your eyes light upon it, it is gone;
for suddenly it takes wings to itself,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low, he also exalts. - Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment.
- Do not seek your own advantage, but that of the other.
- Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Better is a little that the righteous person has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. - Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold. - When goods increase, those who eat them increase; and what gain has their owner but to see them with his eyes?
- To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
- I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself.
