Bible Verses about 'Wealth'
- A rich person’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own imagination. - Wealth obtained from nothing dwindles,
But one who gathers by labor increases it. - Honor the Lord from your wealth,
And from the first of all your produce. - House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers,
But a prudent wife is from the Lord. - Do not weary yourself to gain wealth;
Stop dwelling on it. - The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth,
But the poor hears no rebuke. - Furthermore, as for every person to whom God has given riches and wealth, He has also given him the opportunity to enjoy them and to receive his reward and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God.
- One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility.
- It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich,
And He adds no sorrow to it. - When you set your eyes on it, it is gone.
For wealth certainly makes itself wings
Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens. - And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
- A good name is to be more desired than great wealth;
Favor is better than silver and gold. - No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
- The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord
Are riches, honor, and life. - Better is a little with the fear of the Lord
Than great treasure, and turmoil with the treasure. - To whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.
- The Lord makes poor and rich;
He humbles, He also exalts. - But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.
- No one is to seek his own advantage, but rather that of his neighbor.
- That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and that they would attain to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself.
- Ill-gotten gains do not benefit,
But righteousness rescues from death. - Better is the little of the righteous
Than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked will be broken,
But the Lord sustains the righteous. - Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath,
But righteousness rescues from death. - When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?
- Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.
