Bible Verses about 'Wealth'

A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination. The wealth of the rich is their strong city; in their imagination it is like a high wall.
Wealth obtained from nothing dwindles, But one who gathers by labor increases it.Wealth hastily gotten will dwindle, but those who gather little by little will increase it.
Honor the Lord from your wealth, And from the first of all your produce.Honor the Lord with your substance and with the first fruits of all your produce.

Furthermore, as for every person to whom God has given riches and wealth, He has also given him the opportunity to enjoy them and to receive his reward and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God.Likewise all to whom God gives wealth and possessions and whom he enables to enjoy them, and to accept their lot and find enjoyment in their toil—this is the gift of God.
One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility. The lover of money will not be satisfied with money; nor the lover of wealth, with gain. This also is vanity.
It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens. When your eyes light upon it, it is gone; for suddenly it takes wings to itself, flying like an eagle toward heaven.
And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing.
A good name is to be more desired than great wealth; Favor is better than silver and gold.A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches, honor, and life. The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.
Better is a little with the fear of the Lord Than great treasure, and turmoil with the treasure.Better is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble with it.
To whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory. To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might; and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.
The Lord makes poor and rich; He humbles, He also exalts. The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low, he also exalts.

That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and that they would attain to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself.I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself.

Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
