Bible Verses about 'Wealth'

The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination.
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.Wealth obtained from nothing dwindles, But one who gathers by labor increases it.
Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.Furthermore, as for every person to whom God has given riches and wealth, He has also given him the opportunity to enjoy them and to receive his reward and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God.
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord.House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord.
Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.Honor the Lord from your wealth, And from the first of all your produce.
Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth. No one is to seek his own advantage, but rather that of his neighbor.
He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility.
Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.Do not weary yourself to gain wealth; Stop dwelling on it.
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.
The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke. The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth, But the poor hears no rebuke.
By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches, honor, and life.
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.Better is a little with the fear of the Lord Than great treasure, and turmoil with the treasure.
Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.
Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.
The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.The Lord makes poor and rich; He humbles, He also exalts.
But godliness with contentment is great gain. But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.Ill-gotten gains do not benefit, But righteousness rescues from death.
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.Better is the little of the righteous Than the abundance of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked will be broken, But the Lord sustains the righteous.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath, But righteousness rescues from death.
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.A good name is to be more desired than great wealth; Favor is better than silver and gold.
When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes? When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. To whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ. That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and that they would attain to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself.
