| And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You. | Those who revere your name place their trust in you, for you never abandon those who seek you, O Lord. |
| Honor widows who are actually widows. | Give proper consideration to those widows who are truly in need. |
| Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes. | Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes. Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes. |

| One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And one who rules his spirit, than one who captures a city. | It is better to be a patient man rather than a warrior, one who controls his temper rather than one who captures a city. |
| But the one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved. | But whoever endures to the end will be saved. |

| That they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. | For they said to you, “In the final age there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly passions.” It is these people who create divisions, who follow their natural instincts and do not possess the Spirit. |
| Blessed are those who comply with His testimonies, And seek Him with all their heart. | Blessed are those who observe his statutes and seek him with their whole heart. |
| And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister. | This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. |
| One who pays attention to the word will find good, And blessed is one who trusts in the Lord. | The one who pays heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord. |

| To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life. | To those who seek after glory and honor and immortality by persevering in good works, he will grant eternal life. |

| You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. | Dear children, you are from God and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. |

| Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. | Bless those who persecute you; bless them and do not curse them. |
| The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. | Anyone who has received my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him. |
| Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. | Everyone who hears these words of mine and acts in accordance with them will be like a wise man who constructed his house on a rock foundation. |
