Do not neglect to attend your assemblies, as some do, but rather encourage one another, especially since you can see the Day approaching. |
| So then, let’s not sleep as others do, but let’s be alert and sober. | So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober. |

For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. | So if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out there. If they say, ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For just as lightning comes from the east and is visible even in the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. |
