| He who guards his mouth makes his life secure, but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall. | He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. |

| Give proper consideration to those widows who are truly in need. | Honour widows that are widows indeed. |

| For God will repay everyone in accordance with what his deeds deserve. | Who will render to every man according to his deeds. |
| Blessed are those who observe his statutes and seek him with their whole heart. | Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. |
| The one who pays heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord. | He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. |
| When Jesus heard this, he said, “It is not the healthy who need a physician, but rather those who are sick.” | But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. |

| To those who seek after glory and honor and immortality by persevering in good works, he will grant eternal life. | To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life. |
