Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. |
Anyone who has received my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him. | He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. |
Whoever gains wisdom loves his own soul; one who cherishes understanding will prosper. | He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good. |
For they said to you, “In the final age there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly passions.” It is these people who create divisions, who follow their natural instincts and do not possess the Spirit. | How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. |
If anyone would boast, let him boast in the Lord. For it is not the one who commends himself who is really approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. | But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. |
The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him. | The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. |
And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. For the one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest.” | And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. |
No one has ever seen God. It is the only Son, God, who is at the Father’s side, who has made him known. | No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. |
No one who conceals his transgressions will prosper, but one who confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy. | He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. |
In the same way, I tell you, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance. | I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. |
But whoever endures to the end will be saved. | But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |
Be strong and courageous in your hearts, all you who place your hope in the Lord. | Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. |
Everyone who sins breaks the law, for sin is lawlessness. | Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. |
To those who seek after glory and honor and immortality by persevering in good works, he will grant eternal life. | To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life. |
Because I delivered the poor who appealed for help and the orphan who had no one to protect him. The blessing of the wretched was given to me, and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy. | Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. |
Whoever heeds admonition is on the path to life, but anyone who rejects correction goes astray. | He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth. |
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwells in you. | But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. |
Whoever observes the commandments will live, but the one who scorns them will die. | He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die. |
And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who are peacemakers. | And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. |
The one who leads a blameless life and does what is right, who speaks the truth from the heart and does not slander anyone, who does not harm a friend and does not scorn a neighbor. | He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. |
Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not my own; rather, it comes from him who sent me.” | Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. |
But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near through the blood of Christ. | But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. |
Blessed is the man who perseveres when he is tempted, for when he has been proven, he will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. | Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. |

Who has performed these deeds and accomplished this? Who has summoned the nations from the beginning? I, the Lord, am the first, and I will be there with the last. | Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he. |
