| For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? | For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? |

| God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. | I wait for Yahweh. My soul waits. I hope in his word. | I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. |
| Praise Yahweh, my soul! All that is within me, praise his holy name! | Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. |

| Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name! Make his doings known among the peoples. | O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. |
