| The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. | For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. |

| Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. | Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. |

| For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. | The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. |
| Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. | Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. |
| For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. | For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
