| But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. | As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him. |

| To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities. | When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways. |
| The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. | The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. |
| Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. | As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. |
