Are (3/4)

Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? Now who is going to harm you if you are eager to do what is right?
I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear?I, I alone, am the one who comforts you. Why then do you fear mortal men who must die, human beings who must perish like grass?
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.O Lord, you are kind and forgiving, filled with kindness for all who cry to you.
The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and those of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh. They are in conflict with one another, so that you cannot do what you want.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly. And opens the eyes of those who cannot see. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.
God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”When Jesus heard this, he said, “It is not the healthy who need a physician, but rather those who are sick.”
The godly are showered with blessings; the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions.Blessings are showered on the head of the righteous, but sorrow will cover the face of the wicked.
We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’ As even your own poets have said, ‘We are all his offspring.’
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your gracious Spirit lead me along a level path.
Wise words bring approval, but fools are destroyed by their own words. The words of a wise man win favor, but a fool’s tongue is his undoing.
O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed; if you save me, I will be truly saved. My praises are for you alone!Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved; you are the one whom I praise.
I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!He is a rock, his deeds are perfect, and all of his ways are just. He is a God of truth who does no wrong; he is just and upright.
Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.Guide me in your truth and instruct me, for you are God, my Savior, and in you I hope all the day long.
He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”He replied, “What is impossible for men is possible for God.”
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. Therefore, encourage one another and strengthen one another, as indeed you are doing.
Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For government workers need to be paid. They are serving God in what they do.That is why you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, and they devote themselves to this service.
Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.Because in my eyes you are precious, because you are honored and I love you, I will give people in exchange for you and nations in return for your life.

Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”Then Jesus said to him, “You have come to believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”
You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. Therefore, you have no excuse, whoever you may be, when you pass judgment on others. For in judging others you condemn yourself, since you are doing the same things.
Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But in those paths sinners stumble and fall.Let those who are wise understand these words, and let the prudent acknowledge them. For straight are the ways of the Lord; the upright walk in them, but sinners stumble.
