Chinese (traditional)- Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
- Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth,
before the evil days come, and the years draw near,
when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them.” - For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
- Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him.
Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way,
because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. - Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil.
- Establish my footsteps in your word.
Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me. - If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.
- Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
- A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;
but the simple pass on, and suffer for it. - For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God.
- For the customs of the peoples are vanity;
for one cuts a tree out of the forest,
the work of the hands of the workman with the ax.
They deck it with silver and with gold.
They fasten it with nails and with hammers,
so that it can’t move.
They are like a palm tree, of turned work,
and don’t speak.
They must be carried,
because they can’t move.
Don’t be afraid of them;
for they can’t do evil,
neither is it in them to do good. - Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
- Wicked people earn deceitful wages,
but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. - For he will never be shaken.
The righteous will be remembered forever. - Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
- For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.
- The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright,
but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. - By which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.
- Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
- Doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
- But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.
- Search me, God, and know my heart.
Try me, and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the everlasting way. - Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
- Better is a little that the righteous has,
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but Yahweh upholds the righteous.
But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.A fool despises his father’s correction,
but he who heeds reproof shows prudence. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.Next verse!With image
