Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”Jesus replied, “This is the work of God: to believe in the one whom he has sent.”
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.Therefore, now that we have been justified by faith, we are at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires.
He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.It was for this purpose that he called you through our gospel so that you might come to share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.”
Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?”
Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.Indeed, persecution will afflict all who want to lead a godly life in Christ Jesus.
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.Rather, grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for all eternity. Amen.
But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them. For it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”They answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and so too will your household.”
Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”Jesus answered them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus, himself a man.
But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.”When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”
Asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know him.
You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”Jesus then said, “I will remain with you only for a short time longer, and then I shall return to him who sent me.”
Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”Jesus answered him, “Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our abode with him.”
Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death?Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.For I resolved that, while I was with you, I would know nothing except Jesus Christ—and him crucified.
Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days, where he was tempted by the devil. During that time he ate nothing, and at the end of it he was famished.

When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
