Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.
He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.”
Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.
But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.”Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
Asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me.”
Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death?Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.

When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
