You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.When you look at the tassels, you will remember the commandments of the Lord and keep them. Thus you will not prostitute yourselves by following after the lusts in your own heart or your own eyes.
It is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider one’s vows.It is rash to pledge a sacred gift, or to make a vow and then have second thoughts.

Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.Therefore, prepare your minds for action. Be calm and fix your hopes completely on the grace that you will be granted at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.
The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer.
To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.To those who seek after glory and honor and immortality by persevering in good works, he will grant eternal life.

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.But from you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, among the tiniest of the clans of Judah, from you will come forth for me one who is to be a ruler in Israel, one whose origins are from the distant past, from ancient times.
