| The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. | Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. |
| I tell you the truth, anyone who welcomes my messenger is welcoming me, and anyone who welcomes me is welcoming the Father who sent me. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. |
| We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. | For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. |
| As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. | Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me. | If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. |
| Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.” | And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. |

| For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. | Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. |
| Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. | Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. |
| I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’ | And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? |
| In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free. | I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. |
| You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great. You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping. | Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip. |
| O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right. | In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. |
| As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. | Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. |
| Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. | Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. |
| O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed; if you save me, I will be truly saved. My praises are for you alone! | Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. |
| My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. | My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. |
| Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. | Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. |
| I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. | I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. |
| Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. | Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. |
| God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. | Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. |
| He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” | And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. |
