The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.”The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. The Lord is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet.The Lord is slow to anger but great in power, and he will never allow the guilty to escape punishment. He makes his way in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust beneath his feet.
You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he protects the souls of his faithful ones and rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.The misfortunes of the righteous man are many, but the Lord delivers him, from all of them.
He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is filled with his kindness.
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer. However, the face of the Lord is set against those who do evil.
Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”God blessed them and told them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth; subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the seas and over the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.”
May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all.
For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’This is ‘the stone rejected by you, the builders, that has become the cornerstone.’
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.Those who live according to the flesh fix their attention on the things of the flesh, while those who live according to the Spirit set their thoughts on spiritual things.
And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.And the one who searches hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.Blessed is the man whom God reproves. Therefore, do not reject the discipline of the Almighty.
But the one who endures to the end will be saved.But whoever endures to the end will be saved.
The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!For this day in the city of David there has been born to you a Savior who is Christ, the Lord.
Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.Make every possible effort to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.The face of the Lord is turned against those who do evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth.
God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.And learn to do good. Pursue justice and rescue the oppressed; listen to the plea of the orphan and defend the widow.
But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.However, the gift is not like the transgression. For if the transgression of one man led to the death of the many, how much greater was the overflowing effect of the grace of God and the gift of the one man Jesus Christ that has abounded for the many.
I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything impossible for me to accomplish?
For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”Indeed, “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.
Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children.Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their parents.
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.You who abide in the shelter of the Most High, who rest in the shadow of the Almighty, say to the Lord, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I place my trust.”

The church then had peace throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and it became stronger as the believers lived in the fear of the Lord. And with the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, it also grew in numbers.Meanwhile, the Church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed peace, building up strength and living in the fear of the Lord. Encouraged by the Holy Spirit, the Church grew in numbers.
