- The vine has dried up, and the fig tree withered—
the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree,
even all of the trees of the field are withered;
for joy has withered away from the sons of men. - The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked is perverse. - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
- The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.
- I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.
- But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
- I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. - By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made:
all their army by the breath of his mouth. - Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand on the path of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers. - He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil.
- Being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
- The grass withers,
the flower fades;
but the word of our God stands forever. - It is he who builds his rooms in the heavens, and has founded his vault on the earth; he who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth—Yahweh is his name.
- Better is a little that the righteous has,
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but Yahweh upholds the righteous. - Who has worked and done it,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I, Yahweh, the first, and with the last, I am he. - For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears open to their prayer;
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - The earth is Yahweh’s, with its fullness;
the world, and those who dwell in it. - For even though the fig tree doesn’t flourish,
nor fruit be in the vines,
the labor of the olive fails,
the fields yield no food,
the flocks are cut off from the fold,
and there is no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in Yahweh.
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! - Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty! For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, Yahweh, and you are exalted as head above all.
- The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright,
but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen.
- But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.
