- Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

to our God, for he will freely pardon. - Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation. - A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;
but the simple pass on, and suffer for it. - Whom do I have in heaven?
There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you. - Like a father has compassion on his children,
so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him. - Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters and to be well-pleasing in all things, not contradicting, not stealing, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.
- They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
- God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
- If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.
- Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you.
Bind them around your neck.
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor,
and good understanding in the sight of God and man. - Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion!

He is righteous, and having salvation;
lowly, and riding on a donkey,
even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.
- But as for me, I will look to Yahweh.
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. - God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food.”
