Fully rely on God (4/4)

  • For nothing spoken by God is impossible.
  • Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance.
  • In my distress I called on Yahweh,
    and cried to my God.
    He heard my voice out of his temple.
    My cry before him came into his ears.
  • Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf.

  • Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
    but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
  • In God, I praise his word.
    In God, I put my trust.
    I will not be afraid.
    What can flesh do to me?
  • How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news,
    who publishes peace,
    who brings good news,
    who proclaims salvation,
    who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
  • God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work of creation which he had done.
  • Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you.
  • In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.

  • Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
  • Can a woman forget her nursing child,
    that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
    Yes, these may forget,
    yet I will not forget you!
    Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.
    Your walls are continually before me.
  • For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
  • I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘On whomever you will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him is he who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’
  • I will strengthen the house of Judah,
    and I will save the house of Joseph.
    I will bring them back,
    for I have mercy on them.
    They will be as though I had not cast them off,
    for I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them.
  • The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit.
    O God, you will not despise a broken and contrite heart.
