| But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. | But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God. |

But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him. |
| And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? | I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’ |
| For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. | For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’ |
| The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. | Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry. |
| Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. | Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.” |
| The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. | The entrance of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple. |

| O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. | Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. |
| For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. | For your great loving kindness reaches to the heavens, and your truth to the skies. |
| Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. | Whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. |
| And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. | If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector. |
| Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. | “Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil. |
| Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. | Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. |

| And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. | Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge; and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control, perseverance; and in perseverance, godliness; and in godliness, brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love. |
| But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. | But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. |
