Guide your heart (3/4)

I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments.I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous ordinances.
Go, eat your bread with joy, And drink your wine with a merry heart; For God has already accepted your works.Go, eat your bread with enjoyment, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has long ago approved what you do.
Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, For they are the rejoicing of my heart.Your decrees are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.
Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.You may say to yourself, “How can we recognize a word that the Lord has not spoken?” If a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be frightened by it.
Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Execute true justice, Show mercy and compassion Everyone to his brother. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, The alien or the poor. Let none of you plan evil in his heart Against his brother.’Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.
A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones.
And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.And ‘to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength,’ and ‘to love one's neighbor as oneself,’—this is much more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you.
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.Anxiety weighs down the human heart, but a good word cheers it up.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart!Happy are those who keep his decrees, who seek him with their whole heart.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
