| Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. | Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. |
| And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. | And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. |

| Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus. | May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus. |
| Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! | Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! |

| Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. | Finally, brothers, rejoice. | And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? | Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? |
| Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life. | Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life. |
