His plans (2/4)

No one can have greater love than to lay down his life for his friends. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male slave, nor his female slave, nor his oxen, nor his donkey, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor. You must not covet your neighbor’s house. You must not covet your neighbor’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor.
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unfathomable his ways!Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!
No one should seek his own advantage in preference to that of his neighbor.Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.
John’s clothing was made of camel’s hair, with a leather loincloth around his waist, and his food consisted of locusts and wild honey.John’s clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey.
By his own choice he gave us birth through the way of truth so that we may be a kind of firstfruits of all his creation. He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.
For his anger lasts for only a moment, while his goodwill endures for a lifetime. Weeping may last throughout the night, but at daybreak there is rejoicing. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
In Christ and through his blood we have redemption and the forgiveness of our sins. In accord with the riches of his grace. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.
In my anguish I cried out to the Lord and called to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.
He is a rock, his deeds are perfect, and all of his ways are just. He is a God of truth who does no wrong; he is just and upright. He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!
But from everlasting to everlasting the kindness of the Lord is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children, with those who keep his covenant and diligently observe his commandments. But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments!
A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son gives grief to his mother.A wise child brings joy to a father; a foolish child brings grief to a mother.
I wait for the Lord in anxious expectation; I place my hope in his word.I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.
Finally, find your strength in the Lord and in his mighty power.A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Bless the Lord, O my soul; my entire being, bless his holy name.Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
Or can a man walk on red-hot coals without scorching his feet? Can he walk on hot coals and not blister his feet?
For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more certain it is that, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.
If I have the gift of prophecy and the ability to understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and have all the faith necessary to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live in righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.
For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.
Blessed are all those who fear the Lord and walk in his ways. How joyful are those who fear the Lord— all who follow his ways!
Sing to God, sing praise to his name; exalt him who rides upon the clouds. Rejoice in the presence of this God whose name is the Lord. The Father of orphans and the defender of widows: such is God in his holy dwelling place.Sing praises to God and to his name! Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds. His name is the Lord— rejoice in his presence! Father to the fatherless, defender of widows— this is God, whose dwelling is holy.
Just as he came forth naked from his mother’s womb, so shall he depart, naked as he came, with nothing remaining from his labor that he can carry away in his hands. We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.
For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

He sent forth his word and healed them, saving them from the grave. He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.
