- I love you, O Lord, my strength,
O Lord, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer.
My God is my rock in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold. - Because in my eyes you are precious,
because you are honored and I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you
and nations in return for your life. - But I say to you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
- The second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- I give you a new commandment:
love one another.
Just as I have loved you,
so you should also love one another. - For the entire Law can be summed up in a single commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- If you love me,
you will keep my commandments. - I reprove and discipline all those whom I love. Therefore, be sincere in your desire to repent.
- But to those of you who are listening to me, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
- If someone says, “I love God,”
but at the same time hates his brother,
he is a liar.
For whoever does not love the brother
whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen. - Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not treat them harshly.
- The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- Owe nothing to anyone except the debt of love you owe one another. The one who loves others has fulfilled the Law.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - If you keep my commandments,
you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love. - This is my commandment:
love one another
as I have loved you. - Whoever does not love
does not know God,
because God is love. - May the Lord cause your love to increase and overflow for one another and for everyone else, just as our love does for you.
- I love the Lord because he has heard my voice
and listened to my cry for mercy,
because he has inclined his ear to me
on the day when I called out to him. - May mercy, peace, and love be granted you in abundance.
- Hear, O Israel, the Lord, our God, is Lord alone. You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
- You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness. Honor your father and your mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.
- You shall not hate your brother in your heart, nor shall you rebuke your brother in any way, lest you bear sin because of him. You shall not seek vengeance nor bear a grudge against the children of your people. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
- Everything that you do should be done in love.
- “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and every other commandment are all summed up in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.When you pray do not go on babbling endlessly as the pagans do, for they believe that they are more likely to be heard because of their many words. And if then my people who bear my name humble themselves and pray to me and seek my presence as they turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their land.Next verse! With image
