Chinese (traditional)- Do the things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
- Establish my footsteps in your word.
Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me. - One who brings gossip betrays a confidence,
but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret. - Unless Yahweh builds the house,
they who build it labor in vain.
Unless Yahweh watches over the city,
the watchman guards it in vain. - I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go.
I will counsel you with my eye on you. - Let’s hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.
- Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.
- Let brotherly love continue. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- Know therefore today, and take it to heart, that Yahweh himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath. There is no one else.
- He declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments. He wrote them on two stone tablets.
- If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
- For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.
- But I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.
- For Yahweh loves justice,
and doesn’t forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. - He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.
- By faith even Sarah herself received power to conceive, and she bore a child when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised.
- When you vow a vow to God, don’t defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you vow.
- For you will light my lamp, Yahweh.
My God will light up my darkness. - These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- Make the path of your feet level.
Let all of your ways be established. - Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous.
- He who gets wisdom loves his own soul.
He who keeps understanding shall find good. - Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- You have also given me the shield of your salvation.
Your right hand sustains me.
Your gentleness has made me great.
You have enlarged my steps under me,
My feet have not slipped. - But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.Next verse! With image
