Life after death (2/4)

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.
Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.He who follows righteousness and mercy Finds life, righteousness, and honor.
After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined.

Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?“Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord God, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?”

The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. For those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord.For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the Lord.
Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.
