Lift up your eyes (3/4)

The grapevines have dried up, and the fig trees have withered. The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees— all the fruit trees—have dried up. And the people’s joy has dried up with them.The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.
For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Then Jesus led them to Bethany, and lifting his hands to heaven, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up to heaven.And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.
He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there.Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Let your favor shine on your servant. In your unfailing love, rescue me.Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.
Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.
Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great. You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers!Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
