Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. | God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. |

But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. | Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes. |
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? | Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? |
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. | But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. |
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. | But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments! |
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children. | Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. |
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. | I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. |
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. | But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive! |
Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. | Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen. |
And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses. | And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own. |
Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble. | Arise, O Lord! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not ignore the helpless! |
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. | Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. |
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. | God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. |
No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. | No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us. |
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. | So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. |
God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. | Yes, God will bless us, and people all over the world will fear him. |
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. | God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. |
