- The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.
- It is a snare to say rashly, “It is holy,”
and to reflect only after making vows. - Woe to him who strives with him who formed him,
a pot among earthen pots!
Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
or ‘Your work has no handles’? - Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
- Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
- Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.
