They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.All these were constantly devoting themselves to prayer, together with certain women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, as well as his brothers.
For the word of God is alive and active. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
