- For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die. But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
- For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor; if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, and don’t walk after other gods to your own hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forever more.
- Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me.
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever.
Don’t forsake the works of your own hands. - My son, if your heart is wise,
then my heart will be glad, even mine. - A man’s heart plans his course,
but Yahweh directs his steps. - You shall be holy to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine.

is a man whose spirit is without restraint. - Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

- The integrity of the upright shall guide them,
but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them. - There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - Therefore you are great, Yahweh God. For there is no one like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them.
- May he grant you your heart’s desire,
and fulfill all your counsel. - Not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.
- Don’t forsake your friend and your father’s friend.
Don’t go to your brother’s house in the day of your disaster.
A neighbor who is near is better than a distant brother. - He said to them, “Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”
- He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die. - You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you.
